Michael Furda

Mr. Furda practices in the areas of trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property litigation. He advises clients on all aspects of trademark and copyright protection. Mr. Furda’s practice includes mark selection, clearance searches, trademark and copyright prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, litigation, and dispute resolution.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Furda served as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In that role, he examined more than 3,000 federal trademark registration applications, conducted clearance searches, drafted Office Actions, and prepared appeal briefs before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. His government experience provides valuable insight into USPTO procedures and greatly enhances his ability to guide clients through the trademark registration process efficiently and strategically.
Mr. Furda earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, where he served as Managing Articles Editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and received the Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
